Note

i absolutely love this. what else can i say? good on ya, mate.
8 AM

Running 24:52 intensity: (14 @1) + (1:46 @2) + (22:52 @3) 4.29 km (5:48 / km) +137ft 5:31 / km
ahr:144 max:156

morning run. focus on keeping the HR low and being zen about slow. just a short run in case i couldn't make it to giacomo's harvard sprints. also, starting to chill out for saturday's adventure race
1:00 recovery.
9 AM

Cycling 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

bike to work, bike to harvard
7 PM

Orienteering 19:27 intensity: (9 @3) + (19:02 @4) + (16 @5) 4.11 km (4:44 / km) +20ft 4:42 / km
ahr:172 max:180

giacomo's harvard sprint #1. set by brendan, i believe. good times. a bit longer than expected. map shows its age in the NE. many bonus fences. many thanks to both giacomo and brendan.

Orienteering 14:45 intensity: (17 @2) + (11 @3) + (14:17 @4) 2.88 km (5:07 / km) +3ft 5:06 / km
ahr:171 max:179

giacomo's harvard sprint #2 - also set by brendan. map also shows its age on the SE part of this section. shoulda rested more, didn't. wish i could've stuck around and shot the breeze or got dinner, but no such luck

Cycling 7:10 intensity: (4:00 @2) + (3:10 @3) 2.41 km (2:58 / km) +43ft 2:53 / km
ahr:124 max:159

biking home after the sprints. stopped to help some dude who threw a chain because, well, he apparently doesn't think bike chains needed to be oiled. sad, creaky, dry-ass chain. i explained this in four increasingly direct ways before he got it, or before he realized pretending to get it would end the conversation. at one point, he suggested maybe there was too much oil. there was no oil there to be too much of. the mind boggles.

7 AM

Running 38:29 intensity: (6:15 @3) + (32:14 @4) 7.52 km (5:07 / km) +13ft 5:06 / km
ahr:158 max:168

run around fresh pond. kinda stupid about it, too fast for the first part and too slow for the second. HR too high all around. well, maybe more erratic than slow. felt erratic, at least.
2:52 recovery. it hot out.

Note

Interesting. Pictures of the various footstrikes from the men's 10k olympic qualifier. Can't say I know near enough to draw any conclusions, but it's fun to know that someone out there, somewhere (in Utah?) is hyper focused on this sort of thing.

Also, the Tour starts tomorrow. Eeee! Apparently Fantasy Tour de France is a thing, which is fun.

motorcycle ride back to work after the sprints. wish i had it on for the 1:10 fistfight through traffic on the way over. and that's 1:10 with motorcycle-cheating. only hrm activity was getting a burrito at boca grande, the poor man's anna's. that's good training
