yogi 1:30:00 [3]

yo-ga, yo-ga, yo-ga, etc. at soni yoga, right next door. super fun. super sweaty. the only problem i have with yoga - well, the first of two problems - is that i sweat so damn much my hands have no damn traction on the mat roughly an hour in. the other problem is translating yoga-speak (open your heart, a little more shine) into actual speak (move your shoulders back, stretch a little harder). but this guy was pleasantly light on the jargon while still being all peaceful. also, my hamstrings could use some work.

Climbing (Gym) 1:30:00 [3]

same old. boulders n' boulders of rhe 1-3 variety. there's one v3 i've got the sequence down on, but the rest are fights. there are three others i can get all the moves, but haven't linked up. next week! girdled the south wall, then goofed around on the slackline. had a great line-bounce assisted half-backflip. that'll stretch your back out!

Climbing (Gym) 1:15:00 [3]

boulder boulder boulder (1,2,3,1,12,2,2,2 or similar). little bit of traversing, and then 10 minutes or so on the slackline. must've been climbing crimpier stuff than i thought, because my hands are cooooked.

oof. i can only sugarcoat that first control as a display of persistence. turns out i'm pretty dependent on nearby linear features. eventually stumbled across that double boulder just to the north and then lined it right up. the rest of the course was decent, especially by comparison. mostly just (attempted) straightlining.

started the watch late. what a doofus. chopped up the file to get attackpoint's automagic split-link to work, but all the controls all show about 10s early. feh.

oh geez, i expected bad, and it looks even worse. i don't know what planet i was on. and there were some other pretty poor splits, but i guess they just felt good, relatively speaking. time to hang up the compass. until this weekend, at least.

and (and! and allow me to wallow in coulda woulda shoulda a bit longer) if i had gotten the slow-to-typical five minutes on the first control, i would've been in the top ten! and been within spittin' range of sub 1-hour. bah!
