Would you like to have a forested trail network out your back door? Would you enjoy sharing your back yard with deer, bunnies and coyotes (probably not all at the same time)? Are you tired of your reasonable commute? Are you quiet after 10 p.m., do you keep your outside lights to a minimum on starry nights, and do you play music at a reasonable volume when you have parties? Are you still interested in hanging out with Bash and 'Bent after reading our logs on Attackpoint?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, why not consider moving in next door to us? Over the years, we've had several different neighbours in this house and it hasn't always gone well. (Remember the huge human-started bush fire that burned down 70 acres of beautiful forest and meadow, including an acre at the back of our place?) We like Attackpointers. We would like you to be our neighbours. Our neighbours' place is much nicer than our place. Please think about it. :)

The most interesting part of this ad was the "Demographics" tab for our neighbourhood, which I've never seen before. I guess 'Bent is the 1 person who works in Health, which seems a little surprising.

Mountain Biking (Single Track) 2:30:00 [2] 27.0 km (10.8 kph)

With the Star Tracks mountain bike event coming up on Oct. 19, I needed to get back out to Albion Hills to finish making GPS tracks of the entire trail system. Mick has been diligently updating the Albion Hills map each time I've done one of these rides. Even though AH is our back yard, I've been blown away at the size and complexity of the trail network. We tend to ride the same trails so I never thought it would take so many hours of riding to cover every piece of trail.

I made a big push today to ride all the remaining trails, then I went back to other parts of the park to check on trails Mick had found on the old map that hadn't shown up on my previous tracks. Some of them are closed or no longer exist, some are now "rides" instead of trails, and one was mowed recently and looks like a trail again.

Then I came home and triumphantly downloaded my Ambit to my repaired laptop. Maybe because everything has been re-installed, Moveslink insisted on a firmware update to my watch - and that obliterated the log of my ride. :(((( So now I have to go back out and do it again. Ugh. At least my legs felt pretty good and the hills seemed low.

Half an hour deducted for map reading and writing.

Power Yoga 23:00 [1]

Rodney Yee Power Yoga for Flexibility. My shoulder isn't happy with push-ups and my sore foot (not my usual gimpy foot) isn't happy with Upward Dog. So I need to keep doing this.

I'm coming up for air for the first time since our trip. The Macbook is 90% functional - so nice after 9 days of mostly typing on a tiny phone keyboard. Best of all, it sounds like the hospital plans to kick Dad out because he's become too healthy. So my visit tomorrow may end up turning into a chauffeur assignment! :)

Strength & Mobility (Physio logged @50%) 25:00 [1]

Gotta get back to doing this. It has really made a difference this year.

No, it's not much sleep but it's a solid amount for someone rebuilding a computer from scratch! I've learned that I'm good at backing up data but much too trusting when it comes to applications. I've probably bought legit copies of MS Office 5 or 6 times in my life but Microsoft hasn't heard of me. Not entirely their fault, as I provide minimal personal info when I purchase anything online. Same with Adobe. How many of their products have I bought yet they seemingly have no record of anything? Why didn't they send me confirmation e-mails when I paid? Why didn't I register the products? (Probably to avoid spam.) I don't pirate software. Lesson learned big time but anyway, this is the easy stuff. If I'd lost family photos, they couldn't be replaced with money.

Rumours are rampant that my wounded Mac may come home today. The new hard drive will be 35% smaller but it will be solid state. Not sure how long that will suffice. I've lost some info, including all the task organization labels in my email client. So if I was supposed to do something, be sure to remind me. In the meantime, I'll be busy restoring backups of photos and documents. Fingers crossed...
