Running warm up/down 40:00 [2]

Running tempo 24:35 intensity: (18:00 @3) + (6:00 @4) + (35 @5)

TOTNT - Riverdale Rally
The warm weather made last week's snow disappear and generated some favorable rallying conditions. Unfortunately the ground was still a bit sloppy (wet), so the PB will have to wait till the cold, snow free, hardpacked conditions of March/Apr to be broken. ...although it was trembling in its boots today. Solid!

West Loop: 11:04.45 (Cm. 11:04.45)
East Loop: 10:55.60 (Cm. 22:00.05)
UOTV: 02:35.60 (Cm. 24:35.65)

Orienteering race 50:00 intensity: (20:00 @1) + (20:00 @3) + (10:00 @4) ***

Poor, poor, performance. Lost all concentration today, was all over the map, massive wipeout into a ice crusted stream only seconds into the race ...blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses. After fighting back towards the front going into the second box, I missed 6 as I found the map tough to read in the upper right corner; apparently so did Lazlo. ...putting this one behind me; don't want to think about it again.

(Time includes jog out from were I pulled the plug)

Running long 2:00:00 [3]

Saturday morning DVCA run with the GHO crew; TVP, Sudden, Super, Homey and Greta. Was feeling really nasty all run and was debating turning back early on, but stuck it out, including not skipping K2 (have never skipped before; except by accident once when Bob and I missed the turn off). By the final railtrail section I was suffering the evil poo-cramps, but successfully made it to the Esso station. Giving this Z2 workout a 3 for sticking it out.

...guess a night of pizza, beer and Wii makes not for a good Sat. am run (BSR: 3:5).
