Running warm up/down 35:00 [2]

W/U + C/D time for both the morning Middle race and the afternoon Sprint race.

Orienteering race 44:04 [4]

Nav-Stock Middle Distance
Took a bit to get into orienteering again; I think the last time on a map was the Hard Rock back in early May. Sudden caught me up by #3 and then I really focussed as I watched him take off in alternative direction with every control thereafter. Everytime I thought he was gone, he'd be there at the next control punching or he'd appear from behind me just as I punched. ...must have been doing something right. Finished 3rd behind Hans and the Duke.

Orienteering race 15:59 [5]

Nav-Stock Sprint Distance
A solid first few controls and I was pleased (I hate sprint, for my lack of top end speed). Caught up to Natasha (1 minute earlier start time) on the way to 4; as I passed her on the inside of a trail corner, I did not notice the intersection we were infact passing through (the one I needed as my attackpoint). I hauled ass down the trail for close to 30sec, before realizing that this was WAYYY too far to be travelling before the intersection I was looking for. An obivous catching feature put me right and turned me back. However, 30sec out and 30sec back does not a good sprint result make... a decent remainder of the run, finishing about 1min back of the top 4. ...damn!

Note

Hit the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival for a couple of shows; (i) Celebrity Shorts and (ii) One Big Crappy Family. The first show included a pretty funny short with a fellow hired to be Lance Armstrong's personal assistant, only to find out that he's a real jerk ...co-stars Lance as himself ("Lance is a Jerk").

TO-MNW (shifted TNT this week) - Riverdale Rally Run
Took it easy this week, focusing on comfort over speed (~Zn 4.5) with surprising results; not far off the PB (25:07) even with the heat and smog.

West Loop: 11:27.9 (Cm. 11:27.9)
East Loop: 11:22.8 (Cm. 22:50.7)
UOTV: 02:42.3 (Cm. 25:33.05)
