I am in horrible shape. My goal was to not go out to fast and to finish without dying, and hopefully without cramping.
Ran with the pack to 1 then started orienteering. On my own for few controls then made a mistake going to seven. Group (jon Campbell, Kristen Hall & daughter + some others) caught up to me. They weren't moving very fast so I stayed with them for much of the course. They finally took a funny route going to 21 (skipping 20) so I went a different way. Once I lost the group I slowed way down. I had gotten a leg cramp on the way to 18 was moving gingerly the rest of the course.
