Orienteering (mapping) 3:37:00 [1] 3.8 mi (57:06 / mi)

Mapping west of Hilton area. Lots of people out and about. I was GPS trails and there were so many trails I ran out of track space on the GPS.

Soccer (indoor) 35:00 [3]
shoes: Soccer indoor- puma yellow

Haven't exercised really all week. I stretched out well before the game to make sure I didn't pull anything. I made a few blunders but nothing that cost us. I made up for it by making some awesome passes that led to goals. We won 6-2.

Run warm up/down (road) 5:35 [2] 0.66 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Soccer indoor- puma yellow

Jog around the parking lots.
2:15 for the warm up and 3:20 for the warm down.

Orienteering race (Team Trials Blue) 31:12 [3] 11.3 km (2:46 / km)
shoes: O: Icebuds 2012

Started off poorly. Ran on a unmapped logging road across the swamp right out of the start. Then took a bad route to #1. Lost a minutes just getting to #1. Settled down for the next bunch. Not the fastest but ok. did make a mistake on a trail run with a map error misled me into turning early. Map showed major trail and smaller trail but both were equal. The logged areas were also worse than advertised and I went through abunch of them (some of which a reasonable orienteer wouldn't have but oh well).
Screwed up #7 very bad. I was extra penalized by being the unmapped logged area so nothing was matching up. There were clearing and slash all over. I tried relocting but finally had to bail out by heading down the lake and trail system 500m away and many contours down. From there I went to the control. Having spent all that time wore me out. I was starting to fade fast. Went to the next two controls ok but then had to start walking to avoid cramping. Walked almost all the rest of the course.
