41st annual Billygoat with Walt and Nate, trying to help Walt to become the oldest official finisher, to bookend with Luke's record of youngest official finisher, but we came up a few minutes short. Not really any errors, it was just slow going in some of the uneven and rocky areas.

Dirt Cheap Trail Race #2 at Durand Eastman Park. Was very conservative because of my soreness after the O meet on Saturday and not wanting to screw things up before the Billygoat on Sunday. I took walking breaks every 3-5 minutes plus did some bonus walking on a few hills of different sizes. Despite that I was 5 places better despite 4 extra runners, and only 45 seconds behind the median time vs. 2:34 in the first series race. So, still very slow, but some progress.

This was watching Luke in the 4x800. He anchored and was already well ahead, but still managed 2:03.

Earlier he had run 50.6 in the 400 and 23.2 in the 200, both of which broke his own extended family records.


There was no real exercise today as I went from work to the track meet to the MC Lars show at the Bug Jar, where he finally got to meet Christine!

Was just going to try walking again, but once I got out, I tested jogging and it felt OK, so I did 2 min jog / 3 min walk. Ramped up to almost running pace in the middle, then backed off again.
