Had to wait over 20 minutes to get in as 2 guys skipped a shower, violating NYS law, and just beat me to the pool. One guy was swimming 40 second lengths, with long breaks every 25 or 50 and the other guy was slower and swimming half as much.

So, there's a new hash in town - the Cheap Bastards H3. No hash cash (hare supplies BN otherwise BYO). Preferably live set, no sweeper, no walking trail, no virgins, no whining (and with any luck, no smoking).

Trail went into a dead end, but we let the hare go and set the rest. The last check seemed to be a perseverance check as there was a marked false, 1 mark leading one way and no other marks available. We were supposed to figure out that we were OH.

This was watching Luke score a convincing win the 400 at Fairport in 51.9. He was out under 24 seconds, which was faster than he would later run the open 200, although that was into a 20+ mph wind with rain falling.

This was watching a very exciting 4x400 relay. Luke led off in 53.5, opening a nice lead over the Section V XC runner of the year. Noah held the lead, then Fairport's 3rd kid caught Anthony, but Ben had a gutsy anchor leg to get by the Fairport kid early and hold him off the whole way.

Ride of the week. Tried to keep up with an old ghost that would have put me ahead of the Y season leader, but I couldn't keep up. I did stay ahead of the 190 pacer until 2.5 miles were left and I faded, losing about 15 seconds.
