Running 57:10 [3] 6.63 mi (8:37 / mi) +145m 8:05 / mi

I still held out hope to do some orienteering today after what happened yesterday, but I realized this morning that it would be a really stupid idea. Ankle still feeling bad after yesterday, but nowhere close to what it felt after the first accident two months ago. So to try out the taping in a safer environment, I ran my usual road run from the house. I did a much more thorough taping, and I could feel the difference in support. Putting the tape directly on my skin though made it chafe in places, so I might put something in between. There was a product at Walgreens I will try. I will try this approach in a couple of weeks, the next time I will try to brave the woods.

The run today was really slow though, but I guess most of that was due to the ankle problems.

Orienteering 29:29 [2] 2.24 mi (13:10 / mi) +68m 12:02 / mi
rhr:50 slept:7.0

Complete failure. Went out to the training at Breakheart, and my ankle did not hold up. First time going off-trail since the accident, and the stress was too much and at one point I miss-stepped as well making it worse. It kept hurting after that miss-step, so I had to abondon it.

I had taped my foot, but obviously I didn't do it right/enough. I have to do better homework before trying it again.

Running intervals 21:43 [5] 3.0 mi (7:14 / mi)
rhr:50 slept:7.0

Did long intervals again on the tread mill. 3x 0.5 miles at 7.5mph, 3x 0.5 miles at 9.5mph. Felt stronger this week so I was able to do the last one at 9.5.

I wanted to finish at 3.1 miles to have a consistent distance across the weeks, but as I lowered the speed at 3 miles I accidentilly hit the stop.

Running warm up/down 2:41 [3] 0.3 mi (8:56 / mi)

Cool down.

Strength 25:00 [3]

Abdominal - 110 lbs, Dumbbell Curl - 2x35 lbs, Back Fly - 70 lbs, Bench Press - 115 lbs, Lat Pulldown - 100 lbs

The CSU training this week was a line-O combined with a street-O. It was a great training that was a lot of fun. I was so scared getting lost by getting off the line since I don't know Cambridge/Somerville that well so I was superfocused. I was only behind Ross 10% this week, which felt like a great accomplishment on my part.
