Long race. I was fairly discouraged by this race at first, but now a few days later I can take a better look at it and see that it was mostly a success.

Quite happy with technical side of things. Good flow, reading the map well and felt relaxed. My one brain turn off resulted in a big 3.5' near the end, but I know exactly what went wrong and how to prevent those. Lots of positives from the day. Physically I was pretty good too. I had lots of energy left at the end, but my cruising speed was just a bit too low overall. I ran almost entirely alone, so have to be prepared to hurt a bit more and push harder. Caught by Scott and Ionut about 4 from the end and had no problem with the speed, so that is good.

AM. Middle course. Not much fight in the legs in the morning, feeling a bit off.
PM. PWT 6k sprint. Took it at a very relaxed sprint pace just to get the legs turning over for tomorrow. Some flat compass work to start with in the forest, then city running. Pretty much perfect and flow was good. Have to be happy with this one.

AM. Middle-training. Quite nice terrain, rocky and relatively technical if you want to avoid 10s losses to routechoice. Flow and technique gets better and better as the week goes on.

PM. MOC Sprint. Super easy technically and had a nearly perfect run. Physically pushed it about 90%. Fairly happy with how it ended up for this time of year.

AM. Long-relevant. Super boring terrain!! Brain a bit asleep, but not too bad.
PM. Long-relevant, long legs. Got the speed up and cruised through the course really well.

1. Watch the compass.
2. Look up!
3. Have a 'big picture' of the terrain shape.

AM. Hanging controls for Baptiste's night training from Sørlandet sykehus. Nice terrain. More tired than I was expecting. This afternoon I will actually rest!

AM. strength at Spicheren. Took it a bit easier, trying to get some recovery and good feelings into the legs this week.
PM. Afternoon 4km course with no trails and veg. Went well, fun too. Legs feel awesome. I guess rest days work!
Night. Night-O. Another 4km course. First few went really well, then it was mega sloppy the rest of the way.
