long race. Pretty much cooked. The last 2 weeks really caught up and not much in me. Need some easy days to recharge before the final 7 week countdown!
WRE middle. Not a very good one today. Started well, but missed a lot of time by rushing and not being careful in the cliffs and attacking controls. Take it as a day in the forest and move on to tomorrow.
AM. model event
PM. forested sprint. Awesome area, really enjoyed it. Had a good run, but lost a bit of time near the end in some bushes. Frustrating in a forest sprint when it's not really represented on the map.
AM. 1st leg of the relay, pulled away with Oystein quickly. Had a good run until I got caught running down an unmapped trail on the 2nd last one. Frustrating mistake, but otherwise a good one.
Goat, long mass start near Spokane. Super fun race, very open. Magnus measured 20k on the GPS, so a fast run! Pushed hard, but still some lingering fatigue from last week. Some good competition with Oystein starting fast and Eric strong 1/2 through, but pulled away at the end!
AM. 20k into St Catherines. Mega tired, sleep deprived and wiped. But feel like I will recover ok from it after a couple days.
PM. 10k tour de france style ceremonial run. Nice way to end the race!
AM. 20km plus a bit. Fast leg taking 125 for the 20k, then a little further along to pass off to Paul. Definitely getting into the pain locker this morning!

PM. 25k Guelph line to Sydenham Road. Tired and definitely not rocking the pace, just a steady cruise. Enjoyed running on lots of familiar trails from many old trainings and races!
AM. 20k starting in the fog. Nice rolling trail through some beautiful hardwood forests. Made a big wrong turn though and lost a good 10minutes. Must have been an old detour as I was following white blazes and didn't catch it until the highway. Still, wracked up a good time and pulled in 51 minutes! Lead down to 7min. Al headed out looking strong.

PM. Ripper arvo run. 400m climb, 200 net gain, 15.5k. Super nice trail with a few solid climbs. Pushed hard to grab back some time!
