Orienteering Meet race 1:21:45 [5] *** 6.8 km (12:01 / km) +310m 9:47 / km
spiked:10/11c shoes: Icebug #4's

US Long O Champs in Kentucky.
Lots of climb and thick woods. Somehow looking at splits on AP it showed no time lost. Ha ha. I didn't lose much till I got trip on a low broken fence and went boom hitting my chest on a pointed rock. My head hit the ground too, but that was soft ground. It was heading down the hill from 7. I was hurting but had only 4 controls left and limped around to finish in lots of pain.
Ended up 2nd in m-60 and 5 th overall green.
X-rays showed nothing cracked or broken. So that is good.

Orienteering Meet race 27:40 [5]
spiked:20/23c

Made too many little mistakes and the big one going from 10-11 I went to 17 and even though I was in the right place, wrong order . Lost lots of time for being brain dead. Some other controls that you needed to check the control description carefully.
Oh and going to no. 10 the purple line covered the black line that showed it was illegal to cross. It was a low roof that you could of and some did to short cut the control. I just figured it was wrong and went way around.

Running 47:30 [3] 7.0 km (6:47 / km)
shoes: Icebug #4's

Parkside for a nice run, even though it was snow, mud and ice most of it. Worse part someone drove on the trail and left ruts, covered by snow hard to see in spots.
