Canada's National Sprint Champs, at McMaster's University. Started and finished on the track. Lots of buildings to run around. Started in the wrong direction to no 2 and really did well after that mini mistake. Ended up in first in the 55-64 age group.
Passed up Bob who started 4 minutes before me and he was doing well but missed a control. bummer

Orienteering Meet 49:00 [3] *** 4.5 km (10:53 / km)
spiked:12/14c

Lakewood O meet and I was the meet director/ head hotdog cooker. This was our NOD day that had to be switched from mid Sept date to today. Rich G was the course setter on his newest part of his map. Very interesting area and everyone loved the courses and the hotdogs, gatoraid, chips, apples with carmel candy close by and award medals to kids who completed a course. Yep and even the sun was out.
I did manage to take my sore legs out on the orange course and treated it like a sprint. Well I actually made a few mistakes in some thick terrain. Also managed to make my legs worse. Time to get self ready for Canada and US Champs.

Lapham Peak post 5K run. A bit wet to start and thick woods. Pretty tricky for a while and than near the end it poured rain and lightening etc,. At that point in some thick weeds looking for a control KB and Superfast all caught up and we ran together in the storm. Had a blast yelling stupid stuff, but lots of fun and soaked to the bone. Headed to my house after for food and drinks with lots of folks. Nice time
