Running race 30:31 [5] 3.95 mi (7:43 / mi) +48m 7:27 / mi
ahr:166 max:182

Wolf lake Trail Race. I was very careful about this, but the hamstring seemed ok, a bit sore on Monday after this and the O meet. Different course this year.

Orienteering Meet race 1:36:22 [4] 6.33 mi (15:13 / mi) +174m 14:02 / mi
ahr:148 max:166 spiked:17/19c shoes: Ice Bug 1

Waterfall glen, just hustled down from race at Bong and the hamstring was a bit twingy, so I was tired and tried to take it easy and not get hurt. I should of done the green course. Not sure why my map below is so small????
No 16 I lost 10 minutes onthis sorta bingo control. Lots of trail running and some more thick woods, but not nasty, just thick.

Running 23:00 [3] 3.0 km (7:40 / km)

Run around Spike Woods checking out hammie and it feels ok. Nice to run around my trails and not have to leave home.

Road Riding 45:00 [3] 17.0 km (2:39 / km)

Fixed up my old trek 5200. Put 700x28 tires on, new tape and my syntace aero bars back on. Want to make it more of a cross bike, not sure it would really be one, but it actually felt good to ride. The aero bars did not feel that good on my shoulder which as a surprise.

Orienteering Related 3:15:00 [2] 10.0 km (19:30 / km)

Field checking for control locations at Willow Springs in Barberry County (cook county) southeast of Chicago. Invited my old orienteering buddy Jim Rogers to tag along now that he is retired and kids in college. 20 years since he was out on a map.
Nice day terrible woods. If the prickley rose didn't get you, the wall of barberry would. Bad way to try to get him back into the sport.
. After all the nice orienteering this summer, here is some of the nasty woods. Overgrowth of crap has been going on here for years. There were many spots I gave up trying to get to since I did not want to walk through there let alone have someone run through there. The forest preserve has shut down some of the good areas for us to run through, so now I need to dummy down my courses and use much more trail running, which the reviewers will not like.

Running 46:00 [2] 6.0 km (7:40 / km)

Bristol woods for a slow run testing out my hamstring problem. Not bad and I picked up a neoprene sleeve for compression. it's gonna be a close call for this weekends activities.

Des Plaines river trail from 173 to Indpendence grove with a few loops there before heading back. Perfect fall afternoon for riding.
