Running race 22:54 [5] 3.07 mi (7:28 / mi) +14m 7:22 / mi
ahr:157 max:163

Springroll's race. Nice time to start and I must of had 12 hours of sleep. Legs are still sore, but when the race started I was 2nd, than 3rd, and after I had to stop and tie my same shoelace that I had to do yesterday ( it was double knoted) I dropped to 5th. Nice course with half trail and half a loop in in a subdivision that was very wooded. Rudy was there after his 10 miler race and he was not quite ready to hammer again.
Nice food and some fellow racers I knew were there.

Orienteering Meet 29:21 [4] ** 3.59 km (8:11 / km) +3m 8:09 / km
ahr:148 max:161 spiked:16/17c

First of 2 sprints, figured I would just focus on the orienteering aspect of the event, with out falling or getting tripped up. An interesting mix of trail and chicago river woods. One screw up was on 8 where i driffed to far north and had to fight high grass to get on course. Over all nice effort that really helped my legs get less sore.

Orienteering Meet 23:45 [4] *** 3.01 km (7:54 / km) +3m 7:51 / km
ahr:145 max:155 spiked:13/14c

Last race of the weekend no.6 As I was going out of no 12 I decided to hit no 3 thinking it was 13 ha ha.

Running race 23:00 [5] 3.07 mi (7:29 / mi) +17m 7:22 / mi
ahr:170 max:191

My 1:30 am run. The weather was cool out and the psych factor was high.
I thought I was really pushing it, than had to stop and tie my shoe lace back and having a hard time....though I double knoted it.
I was also confused by one of the street crossings as I could not see a street sign and the ragnar directional sign said right turn. Fortunely a van went straight and so did I. A bit dissappointed in my time.

Running race 42:26 [5] 5.31 mi (7:59 / mi) +19m 7:54 / mi
ahr:153 max:176

Whew what a struggle to keep up a fast pace and after 2 hours of sleep it was tough. But glad to be done and really need to start speed work soon.

Running race 1:20:45 [5] 9.9 mi (8:09 / mi)

Ragnar MAdison to Chicago
Leg 6 the
Longest of all Legs. A bit concerned about the distance and my training, but it worked out ok. Felt pretty good, not that fast, and glad this one is done.

Running 1:44:33 [3] 15.0 km (6:58 / km)

Long slow run trying to get on shape for this weekend. Ragnar race Friday & Sat, 5 k Sunday aNd orienteering after.
Not so bad except my first leg is 9.9 miles friday, which is way to long for me, so I will just have to soldier up for this one.

Cross Biking Rd/Trail 2:25:00 [3] 49.0 km (2:58 / km)

My hybrid bike felt so good to be on yesterday that today I had to go ride the desplaines river trail from the state line to libertyville and back. Even threw a nice attempt at the old time trial 3 miler in a respectful 10 minutes, while the old record is around 8:06. It's been well over a year since I rode this. I have to ride this lots more!
