Last day of PNWOF, its the long event with loads of climb. Some of my routes were not the most efficient but I was ok. It was a great week + of orienteering, camping and friends.

Well i took an extra 6 minutes on no 11 and that cost the middle us champs for this event. As top 3 M-55 were within a minute of each other.
good news is that I will be adopting a dog that looks like my old Critter.
From a rescue down south IL.

Lick Creek Relay I had leg 1 and I had some studs ahead of me so I decided not to look at my map till 250 meters into the run. After that it was somewhat hilly but pretty nice. My team was composed of Tuson O clubbers. We were not going to be competitive, so it was great to go out on the first leg.

Orienteering Meet race 3:10:00 [4] *** 17.0 km (11:11 / km)
spiked:18/20c

Goat at Fishtrap in Washington. I had some hesitation about the Goat as most people were doing the kid 8K and I of course don't feel in the best shape and it was going to hit 85 degrees. I mangged to finish and fior the first hour my calfs were tight and than my feet were numb for the first hour.
So i had to walk and take it easy. Now that I got some AC and some food I feel better. Lots of open and rockey running. It went from a 1 15 map to a USG map for 6 controls.
Pretty beat at the end and moving slow.

Overall fun time out here.

pretty techinical for a sprint. I just drifted to the right too much on no.4
I walked 30 minutes to the strat and was called up right away and didn't stretch my calves and they were tight the whole way.

Orienteering Meet race 18:39 [5] *** 2.0 km (9:20 / km) +65m 8:01 / km
