XC-Skiing race 14:51 [5] 2.4 km (6:11 / km) +90m 5:13 / km
ahr:160 max:178

US Sprint Champs in Ski O of course. Perfect day and conditions, best of the week. I just wish I knew how to read the trails sometimes, so I lost a few minutes and in a sprint that is costly. 2nd today.

XC-Skiing 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)

Wow what conditions, damn perfect so this was my cool down and warm up and it was sweet, too bad we got to go home. Reno tonight for the super bowl game...ah who cares anyway.

XC-Skiing race 46:23 [4] *** 8.0 km (5:48 / km)
spiked:11/13c

Middle distance event...could of would of, should of,if I just punched the last control....fun course and I only fell like 6 times. Lots of little trails, aka snowmobile made that is hard to control going down hill, and curvy. I was on my way to the finish and had one control left and my mind told me that the finish was the last control. Oops.

XC-Skiing 1:15:00 [3] 16.0 km (4:41 / km)

Warm and cool, down and we headed to the lake view for more skiing. Oops again as we were too late for control pickup.

XC-Skiing race 1:03:00 [4] *** 13.0 km (4:51 / km)
spiked:16/24c

Relay and Jan and I partnered up. We each had to do three legs. I did the men's world cup course and he did the women's. I did not really feel clean and was much slower then the world top guys by a long shot.

XC-Skiing race 58:47 [4] *** 10.6 km (5:33 / km) +150m 5:11 / km
ahr:140 max:159 spiked:15/15c

US LONG CHAMPS at Tahoe XC...After watching some of the World Cup competitors take off early (some cute ones too) I planned to use my short 183 rock skis for today and for good reason. A lot of snow mobile trails to use today and I tried to avoid these slower trails and use the big trails as much as possible. It must of been ok but not the best route. Anyway great sunny day out here and I placed first in this event on the green course...so US Champ in the long course...now two good days in a row. Tomorow is the 2 man sprint and JP is my partner..this is different than the World Cup competition. Up to 50-50 for a Rockslide IPA and to the store for dinner of fish and potatoes. No post ski as this is still embargoed area sucks.

XC-Skiing race 11:49 [5] *** 3.0 km (3:56 / km) +40m 3:42 / km

North American Sprint Champs. At Auburn ski club. 1st good day this year in O Yea! Pretty short course, but it was a sprint, and I did win the green course.

XC-Skiing 53:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:18 / km)

Cool down with Jan back on
The trails and this included control pickup.

ahr:145 max:164 spiked:10/13c

Royal George ski O and it was a blast, except for my one big mistake where I could not find the control on skied in trail. I found the red control on the way to mine and that really messed me up. So after much searching I came in from the other side of the trail and was pissed cause I passed that trail up many times. Oh well shake this day off and move on tomorrow.

XC-Skiing 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

Warmup and cool down.

XC-Skiing 1:06:00 [3] 15.0 km (4:24 / km) +200m 4:08 / km

Tahoe Donner XC, warm and the conditions were pretty good. I did not do the O meet as I arrived late as was planned. AA has only one flight from ORD to Reno a day as far as I could see. It was nice and my shoulder feels better.

XC-Skiing race 3:06:14 [5] 50.0 km (3:43 / km) +640m 3:30 / km
ahr:158 max:175

The Nokie, Marquette Michigan Great day with temps in the mid 20's. Great snow, a bit of junk showing but thats it. I felt really good the whole way, just tried to not go to hard on the up hills. Wick sikied it in 2:53. I had great glide most of the time, but sometimes it was slow... No 14 of 14 Nokies down and now this one is in the books. YEA!

Oh the decent was 900 feet more than the accent, so there were some nice long downhills the 2nd half. Split at the start for the first half was 1:45 so my time for the short Nokie could of been 1:21. But of course would of been faster and with that time I would of placed 2nd in my age group for the half. Twoheys son Andrew skied the half in 1:06 and he was skiing against a couple of my tenants who placed for the women in the half.
