Note

Twitchie is back. The back/inner part of my right knee is not happy after yesterday . A pulling feeling. I have not been good about my physio exercises in the last week or 2. Got to get on that.

On another note, love the private note function that AP has. I discovered it a little while back & it's great.
For those that are curious as what I would write for my eyes only, let's just say it's like a couple that never watches each other pee/pooh. Something should be left behind closed doors or in this case private notes. :-)

Strength training 10:00 [1]

Legs.
Would have done more if overtime had gone longer. Oh Leafs this is why I hadn't jumped on the bandwagon yet.

Event: Epic 6 hr

10 AM

trail running race 6:09:06 [4] *** 52.0 km (7:06 / km) +1000m 6:29 / km
shoes: la sportiva

Crazy weather day at Mansfield Epic 6. Hail erupted at least once and often twice during each 6.5k loop.
My hands would freeze when the hail and wind started then I'd warm up once it stopped and the blue ski and sun came out.

It was nuts!

I was lucky I put a longsleeve in my bag just before I left. However, the new shorts I bought at the Salomon were not good. They kept riding up.
Brian said I could take them back, as he witnessed the riding and my trying to pull them down as he was behind me for a couple of laps. Maybe that motivated him to pass me. :-)

The race was good, despite the weather & wardrobe malfunctions.
First three loops in 2hrs. Then 4 just went down, 5 just as bad, 6 got better to the end. Well, felt better even if the times don't reflect that. 8 laps in total, that was the goal. According to them they are 6.5k each, but not according to my garmin.
(once I can download my garmin I will update).

Tiny won overall and looked strong out there.
Joshua Young & Brian (came 3rd, Paul beat him out of that position last year by a minute & a half) from Salomon were there & Chirs (Char's husband).
Great to see familiar faces!

2/4 women, 5/15 overall. Not a lot of people out. But good runners nonetheless.

lap 1: 38.54
lap 2: 40.19
lap 3: 42:00
lap 4: 45:19
lap 5: 47:00
lap 6: 48:28
lap 7: 54:46
lap 8: 52:20

road run 1:37:43 [3] 18.01 km (5:26 / km) +32m 5:23 / km
shoes: Salomon Speed Cross 3 (aqu/pr)

Easy run a long the waterfront. Wore my new white nike outfit and combats to test them out. Felt light. I am sure they will turn orange a week in Utah but I will be cool. Flight booked today. No turning back. It will be what it will be.
Stopped at Myka's for a catch up and washroom break.

I needed this run to flush away a horrible week.
