Another frosty morning, but by the time Roux and I hit the beach, it was above freezing. Spotted our first barefoot tracks, it's time to lose those hiking boots and rail runners and start doing our hikes and runs barefoot.

About time for a more strenuous ride. Climbing into the hills on gravel and sand takes always something out of you. Dry, no mud but a few stretches with soft sand. So soft, I had to get off the bike a few times and push. I also forgot to put on my helmet and my goggles. I only noticed the helmet after several km, when I removed my hat because I was getting warm. I just rode even more carefully than usual. Lots of people at Mt. Ashwabay CAMBA trails, I counted eight cars at the main Whiting road access and another four at the yurt parking. Glad I wasn't going to use the trails today. I am out of shape but it was a good start.
