Cycling 50:00 [2]

Not so intense cycling getting to the National Gallery again and the Sackler for some illustrated Japanese books that will no longer be on display after next weekend, then home after some grocery shopping in upper NW.

Cycling 20:01 [5] 9.06 km (2:13 / km) +69m 2:08 / km

Time trial on the CCT. Not very heavily laden but somewhat obstructed by the fair weather cyclists and pedestrians being out in comparatively great force.

Running 1:02:00 [1]

Same route with Dan as yesterday.

Saturday Aug 3, 2013 #

Cycling 40:00 [3]

Round trip to the National Gallery for documentary about the post-Diaghilev Ballets Russes.

Running 1:02:00 [1]

Jogging in Rock Creek Park with Dan. Blessedly cool after the light rain late in the afternoon.

Cycling commute

Thursday Aug 1, 2013 #

Cycling 39:00 [3]

Cycling to work then from work to the southeast end of the CCT.

Cycling 20:22 [5] 8.98 km (2:16 / km) +69m 2:11 / km

Time trial on the CCT en route to PCRM.

Cycling 30:00 [2]

Riding from the CCT to PCRM and then homewards with a stop at Whole Foods to restock with yogurt for Dan, on which they're surprisingly price competitive.

Wednesday Jul 31, 2013 #

Cycling 24:00 [3]

Commute in.

Cycling 27:00 [2]

Commute home, unfortunately and uncomfortably burdened with a backpack.

Tuesday Jul 30, 2013 #

Cycling 1:20:00 [3]

Work commute plus cycling to the aquatic center along the Metropolitan Branch Trail, which I suppose I ought to applaud the creation of but can't help wishing they hadn't tried to shoehorn in parts of to a streetscape with no room for a proper mixed-use trail. Better signage also wouldn't have gone amiss - the part where the MBT signage led to a very steep staircase while cyclists are supposed to take a lengthy detour to reach a ramp I could have done without.

Swimming 46:00 [2]

Flutterkicking.

Deep Water Running 46:00 [2]

Then eventually one of the deeper lanes freed up.

Monday Jul 29, 2013 #

Cycling 24:00 [3]

Cycling to work.

Cycling 42:00 [2]

Non-intense early evening cycling.

Cycling 20:11 [5] 9.02 km (2:14 / km) +69m 2:09 / km

Georgetown to River Road exit from the Capital Crescent Trail.
