Note

Reportedly, online straw polls have it that if Canada's Governor General were selected by a popular vote, William Shatner would be the leading contender. Not that he'd likely want the job but it does make one's heart swell with pride.

No, that was not intended ironically.

Cycling 28:16 [3]

To work in heat, humidity and bad air quality.

Orienteering 51:04 [3] 5.6 km (9:07 / km) +125m 8:12 / km

Training at Woodstock emphasising attacks on controls on slopes. Much sidehill running. Much wavyleaf basketgrass screening the ground supplied a reason, in addition to the heat/humidity, not to run too aggressively - a bit close to NAOCs to be risking injury - so the focus was on being precise in contouring into, climbing towards and dropping towards control features.
