Listened to some Quirks and Quarks, an As It Happens and a few of the earlier sections of the Alexander Nevsky Cantata, which I must say I have unjustly neglected in the past in favour of just the Battle on the Ice movement, many of the motifs of which occur in the earlier sections, even if with less intensity. Also, the earlier choral stuff is good.
Looked out the window and decided the dusting of snow on the sidewalks and preety much clear roads didn't warrant taking Metro to work. Though cycling was certainly a bit slower than usual.
Trail run home through Rock Creek Park. Saw fox in the narrow strip of woods just before the last bit of pavement running to home. Did a presumably comical buttplant due to paying more attention to confirming it was a fox than to the somewhat icy footing. Fortunately, my butt is muscular enough to be fairly well padded.
DC cold ride in but I dressed for it just fine - knee warmers are definitely a good thing.

Clem then Barb.
Note
I am surprised to find that I just bought a Diamondback Overdrive 29er mountain bike from Amazon. I propose to turn it into my commuting machine and, I suppose, consign my current mount to Craigslist once I've got it adequately set up.
