Birthday canoe outing with Dan from Georgetown up to within sight of Chain Bridge and back. Saw quite a few ducks and at least a couple of different herons plus a pair of some sort of fishing raptor (ospreys?).

Cycling to work, slightly faster than I thought I was currently capable of. May even be the record since I moved to my current address. Surprising, though I was feeling energetic and working hard, it seeming the least I could do after skipping doing a longer morning workout.
