Cycling 1:40:00 [3] 18.0 mi (5:33 / mi)

To and from QOC's Wheaton NOD event.

Orienteering 22:30 [5] 4.0 km (5:38 / km)

White to Yellow difficulty Park-O - QOC's first. I ran early and - thinking I would have Nadim to hold off - ran hard enough to obviate any need for an aerobic interval workout for at least a couple of days. Overdid the map simplification (can't simplify more than not reading the next leg before starting it) and made a significant parallel error late in the course, taking the wrong trail in the right direction. Would have been easy to fix except for horribly dense vegetation between the two trails.

Orienteering 47:47 [4] 5.5 km (8:41 / km) +100m 7:58 / km

Advanced course to follow the park-O. Much slower, partly due to vegetation and harder controls, mostly due to the physical fallout of the park-O - in 4k I managed to generate the beginnings of soreness in some muscle in the thighs I don't know the technical name for that usually takes me a whole goat event or marathon to generate.

Stretching 35:00 [1]

Modern Dance 1:30:00 [2]

Not Deborah's best-planned class but my first in about a month so I won't complain too much. It felt good to dance after the layoff and heaven knows I don't stretch enough except before dance classes.

Cycling 1:20:00 [3] 18.1 mi (4:25 / mi)

At least they've got Connecticut Avenue and the food stores thereon lit up again. Now if I just had power at home so I could make toast, this would be bearable.

Cycling 1:25:00 [3] 16.1 mi (5:17 / mi)

A relatively calm period to cycle home in before the highest winds hit. Though some of the taller buildings in Silver Spring were creating alarming winds.
