My brother the chiropractor checked my neck. X-rays and exam suggest minor disk issues and general good health. He adjusted me and did e-stim and suggested deep tissue massage on left shoulder blade muscles to release tightness from the earlier episodes.

Nasty cold - got worse through Tuesday AM (which kept me up all that night), but sudafed and rest helped. Luckiily i was able to keep well enough to got to talks during the ESA meeting here in sacramento

I've been inconsistent in logging natural history. For last two weeks, most mornings (9-12) have been spent observing pollinators at BNP, and often i've spent big chunks of the afternoon on similar pursuits. Today I spent the morning the same way, but the potted plants have many fewer flowers so i think that is now at a close. But this afternoon I began bog monitoring in the tamarack bog, with a full afternoon (1:30-5:30) in the bog and keying some of what we found.

Sigh. Thought I could run easy, but started with slight left calf tightness which went away for a few minutes but then showed up stronger. Stretched, walked, but it was not going, so walked home. Stretched there, bengay and massage, and more stretching. ugh
