Running 35:50 [3]
rhr:44 slept:6.5 weight:182.5lbs shoes: Asics 2170-2014

Dropped car off at shop, long way home, picked up at noon. Felt pretty good.
And still almost no neck/arm pain

BikeCommute 20:00 [1]

Unexpectedly Karen suggested that we bike to the neighbor's graduation party, so i went with it. Very slow and easy ride, nor problems. We'll see if any consequences ensue for my neck/arm.

Trail Run 25:35 [3]
slept:6.0

BNP around beefey woods and garden bowl to scout sites for field botany (none suitable for finding new or interesting plants- wound up doing grasses and sedges in the lab).. Very slow, lots of stops to peek and poke. Wearing old shoes I keep in my car because i forgot good ones.Felt fine.

Yesterday and today i realized that i have had only very slight arm/shoulder/neck pains - about the level i had several weeks ago. I need to nurse this along and settle in to a solid pattern of no pain before I try riding again. But, so far so good!

NEON trip to Rising Valley park (Cleveland Metroparks). I had no idea such pristine wetlands could be found in our area, let alone so near BNP! Stupendous day, walking sold from 9:15-3:45 off trail, in water up to mid thigh at times, and thick veg the rest. Saw tons of uncommon, rare, and even threatened species, dozens of sedges i had never seen before, and generally a biology paradise. This area (along the rocky river's headwaters) is not open to the public, so the wild part is more of a preserve than a park. So happy i could go there! I was on cloud nine and tired for hours afterwards

Trail Run 30:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 2170-2014

Intended to run wetmore, but trailhead closed due to the flooding damage from last week. Parked at the maple picnic area and ran south on the valley floor trail, then north into the horse area south of wetmore, poking around to see the substantial flood damage. Stayed well within myself.
Yesterday I felt no more (and perhaps less) neck and arm pain than before, so i don't think running is the culprit. So i will ramp that back up, and will stay off the bike for a few weeks to isolate each activity. Felt even better today - only minor and occasionally unnoticeable discomfort. Continuing traction.
