Running 32:00 [3]
slept:7.0 (injured) shoes: (Screw) Brooks Adrenaline GTS

Injured again - Sigh.
an inch or so of fresh snow, intended to run to school but short on time and had PT this AM (PT was much more aggressive (I had slight backward progress since last meeting - hard deep massage, trying to loosen up tight muscles in front that are preventing flexibility backwards and prevention of leaning head forward).
So, got home and snuck in a short run. (nob hill, then north on merriman to mayfield). Pushed just a smidge, but nothing serious. At 20 minutes felt a slight tightening in left calf, and then at 32 min (just short of memorial) i suddenly couldn't run - just tight in that calf. I think it was the same 'cramp' i had some time ago when i came back too fast. Even now, a day later, it is still tight. I suppose it might be a pull. Could it be from cold weather?
Might this be the same as what Dave K has had?
Whatever. I obviously need to reevaluate my status and prospects. It's now been perhaps 2 years of intermittent and weird injuries - i am tired of that. I have the urge to train and compete, but perhaps the body won't put up with it any more...
NOTE: I looked it up - almost exactly the same thing happened Jan 31 2013, in loose and snowy conditions (1 yr ago, but right calf). Response then was to switch to bike commute, and after calf ok, gently return to running, with nearly normal apparently in 4-5 weeks (but trying to come back faster (1 week for first run) may have slowed recovery).

Trail Run 1:21:00 [3]
slept:8.0 weight:182lbs shoes: Inov8 rocklite 315 -3

Oak Hill with daveK. 20F, breezy, 1/2" snow. Very pleasant trot. Longer than I thought I was good for, with two trips down to riverbottom, but the running weather next few days should be crappy, and wanted to get some miles in
