Oak Hill! First time out since the fall. Slow but felt pretty good. Sunny and 40F (rising). Thickets and briars kept me slow. Designed this course to minimize climb so i don't overdo it. On 3 controls i spent a bit of time confirming and walking to check. Felt good during and after. On the last leg back i put in one minute of honest effort in woods and partly on the muddy trail, as a tentative move towards more aggressive training.

Digging in garden - xplant rhododendron
I was way too beat afterwards. I am so out of shape
towpath in, while frozen (via merriman-portage). Very bumpy again! Still can't find the light that bounced off.
Return on crosby (no time to take long way home). Feeling pretty good
AM, clear streets, above freezing. Nob Hill +, so this was my first time on hills since the calf problem. Took it very easy going up. Tiny twinge towards the end of the last hill, but may have just been background noise.
In on towpath (didn't find my missing headlight; about 45min due to icy spots). bath on hickory - felt a little discomfort on left (!) calf, so backed off
Easy two pines and around the neighborhood, with a dusting of fresh snow over the remains of the last few dustings. No problems. I really want to go longer and harder, but am holding back.
