Quail Hollow Night O. Warm and pleasant night with some light sprinkles. I never really got in a groove, and had to reattack several times for several controls. I even skipped 5, arrived at 6, realized, then had to go back and get 6. And the last half of the course had some very thick vegetation and subtle features that just flummoxed me. About the time i was getting really frustrated there were three problem controls - one i finally stumbled onto and didn't seem to be in the right spot, the next one was missing (found vetting tape but given how poorly i'd done it to a bit to convince myself that was right), and another misplaced (but i didn't find the distinct feature I was looking for, so i feel bad about that one too). Time on the course was about 2:10, then picked up controls for half an hour. This was not a shining hour for me. Partly the thick veg and nature of the park is at fault, but it's got a lot more to do with me

Tuscazoar Red course, epunch. Nice course by fred mailey, Couldn't run up the hills, especially off trail with so much deadfall. Navigation was pretty good, though the deadfall also complicated some approaches. Nice to be back! Lots of scouts on wyo, which was really nice.
Terrible night - one or the other dog woke me up 6-8 times last night. One has the runs, the other is getting used to a new medicine.
