Quail Hollow Red course by Bob. Warm and humid day, woods were very thick and wet from recent rainstorm. Epunch! Though one control was misplaced, a fine course. Used moscow/magnifier compass, and again drifted right by 30degrees almost all the time. I have got to figure that out! It was worse later in the course when i was more fatigued - this is not about the compass, but about how i read it. Does the magnifier catch my attention?

Skills development at kendall lake - stan R design - work on attack points. 12 participants, including David Waller from Ocin. Beautiful day. All worked quite well for me, for the most part. A couple of times couldn't see the small paper flags in the dappled sun, but navigation and use of stan's preset attackpoints went well. On the second half I did not use attack points so well, especially #15, but was learning and improving. In several cases stan's attackpoints seemed harder than just going to the control, though more examination usually reveals that they were safer.
