Brecksville Setting for reentrant rampage. Beautiful day, Went much faster than expected (left home@ 10, returned ~ 3). Found several pops of M.alatus Just S of Golf course. one had over 70 large plants. felt good, though back is still sore when not running

Began setting controls for the rampage, north of chippewa. Whoopee - no back/shoulder problems. Today at school limited computer time, and found that even after adjusting ergonomics some (lots of work yet to do), i started feeling poor after just a few minutes. But walking between that, even sorting and tubing fruits was a great relief, and by the time I went to bville in the afternoon, i was feeling really good. Didn't have time to do more today, and didn't want to go crazy on first day back.

I am going to count my stretching as strength for now. Doing everything I can think of for now.

Drove to work so i could catch the Dr. at 3:30. Noticed that although yesterday i got sorer over the day, today i felt better after I lectured, then worse later. spent most of yesterday at the computer, so I am suspicious of ergonomics of my computer at work.
Doc eliminated the possible bad things, suggested that my painting, looking up, bad posture, desk ergonomics and lack of enough stretching were the cause. I'll work on them. felt really good after the doc, which coincided with several hours away from the computer. After doing computer at home, felt more discomfort. I think i'm learning. It will be hard to change.

Lousy night, mostly because I couldn't get comfortable. Took 2 alleve am, and started feeling better enough to ride in. After alleve wore off took vitamin I, but gradually the pain between shoulderblades got worse. More worrying, right arm started feeling a little tired or maybe tingly.
Tailbone is better now - did lots of piriformis stretches. Doing lots of stretches for back, but only temporary relief with that.

I planned on resting today (perhaps try out the repaired roadbike), but after getting up this morning i had a crick in my neck, which spread to my shoulders, and then (oddly!) my tailbone started to hurt. Decided it's best to just lay low, and I did. Symptoms match 'piriformis syndrome', but that's a pretty vague injury. However, if it's right the fix is a little rest and stretching, and that probably isn't a bad idea. However, hope this doesn't prevent speedwork tomorrow...

Final vetting at Brecksville. Did the white course first (a couple of adjustments); 10 controls , then did a mock 1:30 score (north of road first, swept south and west to flag three last controls); 14 controls. Took more like 1:50, and at a decent speed - i don't see how anyone could sweep our course in 6hr. Completely covered by seeds when I finished. A few map updates still needed - need to talk to bob.
