60F, sunny, so had to go out. Brandywine ski area, tried not to push the pace (so this would just be distance for my buildup), even though I'm supposed to be resting before buildup now). 18mph avg

Hinckley, east of road, from lake picnic grounds on Everett Rd.. Tried to hold bearings (I need to work on this more!), did some general exploring and control picking. Stream crossable but but deeper than knees. 45F, pleasant. 6 deer

Memorial - mustill, with kendall map. Worked on glancing at map 5 seconds and then reviewing what was there. Also brought my xmas present (Suunto Arrow 5 thumbcompass) to see how it works. Great! Stabilizes quickly, easy to set bearings, etc. Can't wait to actually O with it.
