HInckley from S. lake along N-line to N boundary, back on the next line West (ends at swimming pool). Drifted off several times, decent contact most of the time, occasionally had to detour a bit around cliffs etc. Still spending time scratching my head, but a bit better. 1" fresh snow, 13F, clear and windy. Fun! found 3 deer beds in snow, 4 deer flushed, but not much deer sign

ran my old Hinckley course (1:21), then ran alternate route from 12 to 13 (5:57 out, then 6:21 back). 1-6" snow, cold wind. Navigation was mostly right on (and mostly from remembering locations rather than real O), but surprising to me how I couldn't go a whole lot faster even when navigation was not slowing me down. Need to work on running faster while navigating, as well as on orienting map quicker and quickly evaluating and remembering next control location.
