penninsula midday (hot). Pushed to turnaround (mean 20.5 mph, holding 22+ most of the way on the flats). Didn't have much oomph on return. 18.8mph overall

Montreal - to convention center from dorm (7:30), then after 5k race ran down mountain (sometimes off trail) to finally find my way back and just got to ESA in time to give my talk

ESA fun run - hilly course on trails and gravel roads and asphalt paths. Fun, nice. Couldn't push fast down hills - haven't trained to do that now that I think of it. Could have pushed harder on second half if not for that. Was pretty well within myself, but still a good hard effort. About 10/100 runners.
