AFter taking nat to the kids fun run for akron marathon, along portage path against marathon flow. Felt good, even though last night I had runny nose and some coughing (thought it was allergies). After returning, discovered I had a real cold, which has got steadily worse - sunday spent whole day in pjs in bed, pressure behind eyes unpleasant. UGH

Course-planning in brecksville for vampire-o. Beaturiful cool day. This is the running part. First day with the laceup ankle brace (R), and with velcro brace on left. Comfortable, and at least some support.

Flagging vampire-o sites at brecksville. Ankle ok (in hiking boots), even on steep and uneven muddy slopes. Educational to go so slow and keep extra good map contact. Saw Bill Makowski training for a philmont backpacking trip (full gear). Deercount: 6

Per instructions, a short trot around the nieghborhood. Upper ankle (near top of socks, front and outside) a bit sore and stiff, but little discomfort from the parts that were hurting before (in front of ankle on top of foot), and none for the 'sprain' site. A bit out of shape at this point, but good to be moving.

Last night took ellen to er for high temp. decided to take it easy today and not ride to school. Spent 11-3 at BNP hooking up vacuum, and trying to delitter one plot... but it's still too wet there. Ankle is near useable now, but still stiff.

PT - ex. bike and (!) treadmill. More hard massage on bad spot, and more improvement. I'm to run some over the weekend, and get evaluated for dismissal monday.

at PT. I complained to trainer of continuing soreness, so he used ultrasound and strong rubbing for many minutes. Said it was to break up scar tissue. Felt loads better!

cold got worse and felt sore all over, so just rolled with it. This morning finaly felt half human. Ankle/ligaments also seem to have liked the forced rest, though still gets sore if used much.
