Wetland field trip to panzner and forrt island. Also short hike with family. Total of about 2hr walking with no pain except a little if I walked too fast (a full normal pace)

At PT. Felt better today, got very sore after PT and then the rest of the day was almost pain free! New exercises, of course. They also put on 'dynamic tape'. not sure how big a role that is playing.

Sigh. Apparently I overdid it yesterday, so relapsed. Pretty sure the problem was 1 set of leg curls. Didn't think they involved the hurt area, but became pretty sore late last night, and I wasa sore most of the day. It's about like before the PT now. I need to be even more carefull now.
Flew to CA for dad's 80th this evening.

Improvement again, even better. Still feel it,but taking it easy. Only hurt a couple of times. I hope to be on the bike next week

Imrovement continues! I walked up stairs and with less limp. 2x better but still bouts of pain, migrating

Pt exercises. First day - he anticipates 4 weeks. Says problem is in tendons (whew). Massage helped. Also did my PM exercises

Some soreness in hip from weights but much better. Discovered the hard way I stil need the pain meds (forgot for a couple hrs this am).

Crutches. Still prorated, but I'm doing a little less time each day, and getting stronger and cleverer about them so it's not quite so exhausting. They definitely help a lot - when i did some unassisted walking, even being careful, i needed to ice down afterward.

Crutches on campus - much less today. tried not to move around much, and felt pretty good. BUt when I got home and vacuumed etc, still sore. I will keep using crutches for longer walks on campus

Crutches all day- seriously sore upper body. Returned to dr am, she confirmed that if I'm still getting worse we need to get some phys ther. Also learned that it really hurt to raise leg from flat on my back. Lucklly, got dr eval appt for PM. Xrays indicate 'hip impingement'. Rx pt but can't fitr in their schedule until next week. Got some hip stretches to do in the meantime. Dr kerr advised walking instead of crutches when it doesn't hurt. Recovery may take a month or more. Still not sure quite what's wrong with the hip. I am not happy but at least something is happening

Cutches all day which kept leg from hurting, but climbing stairs etc still making me hurt, maybe even getting worse. I had hoped holding back all weekend and today would give improvement but no luck. Set up dr appt for tomorrow. Arms and shoulders sore from crutches

Trying to take it easy today. Pretty successful except for a couple of minor lapses. Most important among them, carrying the dogfood bag from the garage to the house. Seemed minor at the time, but i was suddenly sore minutes later. Ice corrected that, but whe nI got up again later had a relapse.
