Cycling 1:00:00 [2] 15.5 mi (15.5 mph)

An easy hour on the trainer just to loosen things up. I actually have no aches or pains from this weekend. Guess I could have been pushing a little harder. The TV viewing for this evening was "The Incredibles."

Orienteering race 1:43:00 [4] *** 7.0 km (14:43 / km)

Contrary to most of the other competitors at this event, I did worse overall today than yesterday. It was mostly just sloppy mistakes near the controls, lack of focus. I also didn't feel quite as spry as yesterday, but nothing that should have significantly slowed me down. I felt there was a bit more trail running today, which is not my strong suit. But overall, still happy with the weekend and glad to be running Red again. And was very grateful for the lack of precipitation!

Event: Boulder Dash

Orienteering race 1:48:03 [4] *** 6.99 km (15:27 / km) +315m 12:37 / km

Day 1 at Boulder Dash Ran Red for the first time at an A-meet for many years and was very satisfied with my results. I made mistakes on the first 3 controls (including a 180 out of the start!!), but then started to get into the map. I think my saving grace was taking it uber-slow through the more intricate areas so as not to waste too much time relocating. I felt good running throughout the course...I guess training does help! The weather was disgusting, at times I felt like I was standing in a shower. There were also a few exciting stream crossings where I went in up to my waist.

Running 28:24 [3] 3.0 mi (9:28 / mi)

Just ran a short one in the neighborhood in preparation for this weekend. Fastest I've done this loop in a while.

Strength Training 55:00 [2]

It's those g-d weights, again. No, I really do love them. I feel very strong after these work-outs. I show my "guns" to Tanner and he's very jealous.

Running 39:05 [3] 4.0 mi (9:46 / mi)

Ran my normal course through the neighborhood and felt great. Slight drizzle and no high school traffic.
