Orienteering race 7:16:35 [2] 26.2 km (16:40 / km)

Highlander

Battle of determination to move through pain (knee and foot) versus Harriman Hills. Most of the time, I knew that determination would win, though I was very much afraid that it would be a Pyrrhic victory. Speaking 48 hours later, I actually came through it better than I expected, probably because I walked about 22 km of the race. Real story is in the comments with the splits.

Analysis says I made an hour of mistakes. Looking at where they were made, most of those are "real" errors, but a few - especially on the last map - are more due to slowing down...

The work induced taper for the Highlander continues. A meeting caused me to skip watercize and cut the swim short.

Cutthroat; the games were a big mix of long serving runs and great rallies.

Swimming 34:48 [2]

Felt like I was moving, but the pool was very WARM. Even the watercizers were commenting that it was warm and they prefer it warmer than the lap swimmers!
