Forgot how hard it is to run fast at night. I spaced out for just a few seconds, tripped on a rock, and ate it pretty hard. F'd up my knee and elbow, and had to roll so I wouldn't slide off into a ravine.

Now my elbow is killing me, and it clicks and grates when I move it. I've been planning on going climbing soon, so I hope I didn't mess anything up too badly...

Trails to San Geronimo. 15lb pack, riding the piece of shit.

Attempted redemption after what happened a few weeks ago. No wind, clear night, great views. The steepest hill in the world was still crazy though.

Crushed the beginning and the 680 trail, and I was 30-40 mins ahead of last time at 10 miles. My quads started to fall apart over the next 5 miles. I got to where I bailed last time and I was super excited to keep going, but the uphill after that point just destroyed me. I went slower and slower on hills until I had to get off and walk steep bits. At that point I turned around. Not worth it to go that slow...

I think I started out too fast in addition to having limited quad endurance. Calves felt fresh the whole time, but quads were in pain at the end. I need more bike-specific training, but I'm gonna get this ride someday.
