Finally healing and able to go outside today, but this combo of burns and bad flu has me feeling fat/shitty only 20 days out from Denali. Not where I wanted to be with training.

I need to adjust the speed of some of my goals for this trip. Just the thought of the Cassin in a push has me feeling like vomiting/crying in pain right now.

Sunburn made me go into mild shock, high fever and tachycardia all night, super shitty. Realized I couldn't do another day in the sun so woke Sasha up at 4am and said we need to get the fuck out before sunrise. Packed up and skinned like mad.
Such a simple thing like sunscreen can really make or break a trip...

Castle Pk ridge traverse and rode the couloir, just quick half-day. Wicked big cornice triggered avalanches off the north side of the ridge. Snow was better in the north bowl but I didn't want to touch anything over there.

Kent lake loop, went back to Carson Falls, the road is still closed and I just couldn't resist. Still walked most of the uphills, but felt significantly better than yesterday.

Bofax rd was closed so Pine Mtn was empty today, pretty awesome. Stopped to swim in the main pool of the falls, stoked on the nice day despite having to walk all the hills.

Trying to keep the denali stoke high. Got off work, ate a handful of chocolate covered espresso beans, did a shot of tequila, grabbed the headlamp and went out pretty strong.

Felt good, but legs are sore from the step-ups yesterday.
