Another kind of tempo run. Bit slow heading up the law walk and found it hard to get the legs ticking over faster on the way back. Put in my old sprint down the little hill where the little kicker use to be near the end, just managed to get the speed up to 20 kph with it only hitting that as I gave up and eased off.

Had to use my old GPS since I'd left the good one on my bike at work, lucky yesterdays rain wasn't around or the leaky cracked screen would have been bad. Still had trouble getting the battery to charge from flat the night before.

Canning Vale to Claremont

Dropped the ute off for a long overdue service.

Was going to take Roe Hwy path down a bit and take Collins Rd and Apsley towards thew freeway. Couldn't see a way from Nicholson on to the Roe Hwy path so went down High Rd instead.

The lightning which was looking threatening on the drive up didn't eventuate but a torrential downpour did. Luckily traffic on High Rd was quite light when I'd thought it would be bad, had to ride quite wide in the lane to stay out of the deep water.

Went down Vahland to try to find Apsley and get back on plan, but wasn't sure if I'd already passed it so I took another road, which was fine, just had to take a path through a park, then popped out next to Leach Hwy in some diabolical place to cross, by which time the rain had cleared and it was a pleasant ride in to work. Still had to wring out my socks and hung them on the fence outside my office to dry.

Didn't end up riding back to pick up the ute. Went to the pub for a beer then got a lift back instead, probably 10 -15 mins faster driving then riding

Slow going into the gusty E'ly, especially pushing uphill into the wind. Picked up the pace heading back along Thomas Rd. Nice comfortable run, left Achilles a bit sore after at the heel attachment.
