Running (Short easy Kings Park) 32:46 [3] 5.69 km (5:46 / km) +63m 5:28 / km

Nice and easy. Seemed to be some looneys running intervals at Matilda Bay, with their recovery right behind my car when I was putting my shoes on before I started.

Road Bike (Commute) 1:37:47 [3] 50.35 km (30.9 kph) +188m
shoes: Azzurri Forza

Another gentle tailwind. Got to the freeway and there was a promising looking wheel not far ahead so I went hard to catch then had a chat for a while. The old guy was riding from Mandurah to Perth (70km) and I think turning around and heading back again. He was a lot stronger than me so I sat on his wheel pretty much all the way to the narrows except when he stopped for some reason andI kept going and chatted with another guy we'd picked up. When the old guy went back to the front the other guy dropped off. A nice pleasant morning for it.

Road Bike (Commute) 1:40:06 [3] 50.17 km (30.1 kph) +202m
shoes: Azzurri Forza

Another evil seabreeze, some pretty messy riding happening heading down the drag strip. FBC was on my wheel for a while, then he passed me up the inside since I was sitting right a bit to give him cover from the wind, then he sat far left on the white line so I got no cover and when we got to the river wall he rode next to the wall on the wrong side of the path. Then a battery boy went flying past at silly speed.

When another battery boy went past after Canning Bridge I went after him and was close to catching him but I had to wait to pass someone that he blasted past and had no chance of catching him after that.

After Leach Hwy a sensible guy went past so I went with him and had to work pretty hard as he was going strong into the wind. Around Beeliar I had a chat to him, found out he was going to Thomas Rd so I could get a tow all the way to Rowley, then I took a turn till he went back to the front at Armadale Rd by which time I was puffing pretty hard. I had a nice rest after that but did another short spell on the front before heading down Rowley.

By now I was surprisingly close to par considering the conditions so went hard all the way home and just managed to keep it under par, probably helped by getting a green light across Tonkin.

Road Bike (Tonkin - phone hunt) 1:20:32 [3] 32.13 km (23.9 kph) +17m
shoes: Azzurri Forza

Headed up Tonkin since my gears have been too jumpy for heading up the hill.

Turned around at Champion Dve and got just past Ranford when a spare tube ejected from my saddle bag and I discovered everything else was already gone, which explained a few random noises I'd heard along the way.

Headed back up to Champion Dve in search of my phone, found my keys and bike tool just before Champion Dve. Back towards home, stopped to asked the 3 other people along the path if they'd seen my phone, no luck.

Got nearly back home and found my other spare tube in the middle of the road at the Thomas Rd Hopkinson Rd interesction. Dawdled home with no sign of my phone. Tried to call it but it didn't even ring, so either it got squished or the battery went flat, walked up to Thomas/Hopkinson with the kids a bit later and no sign of it, so time for a new phone :'(

Running long (Byford hills) 1:38:54 [3] 15.75 km (6:17 / km) +301m 5:44 / km
shoes: Speedcross 3 No. 1 bright gree

First long run for a while. Didn't feel like it would be much fun when I got up but got going and felt OK. Up the hill then down the hill.

Head cross country coming down the hill when there was a big roo stopped on the track. After a few seconds I thought I might regret it and I might get stuck in some steep think crap, but found a roo track and it went turned into a nice shortcut.

Straight back next to Thomas Rd for a change with a couple of spots that looked a bit tricky too get through but quickly popped onto a nice firebreak.
