Headed off the same way as Fletch and Ameko, one my own after a few controls. Went for a simple plan of clearing the south and west sides and heading north till just after half time. Didn't know if I'd have any chance of cleaning up, ended up dropping the 4 northern controls. Fletch wasn't far behind me at my 3rd last control and he passed me after my 2nd last, managed to stay not far behind him to the finish.

Legs weren't too happy early on after yesterdays long run but were fine once I was going.

Started from school to avoid wasting time getting home, faffing around, blah, blah blah, so that I could get as much of my run done as possible before it got hot.

A bit more walking/less effort then I'd like heading up the hill, as I had to return a missed call. Got into a good rythm after that and even managed to mostly go where I wanted to, avoid bush bashing and get close to my planned distance.

Made a pretty good attempt at choking myself on water going past Marri Grove PS, had to walk a little to avoid straining something with all the coughing and spluttering. Pretty hot from there to the end and felt like crap by the end with some sort of stomach stitch.

Note

I was going to do my long run after dinner but didn't really feel like it. Instead I spent my evening working out how telstra had completely screwed up my bill and charged me about $150 they shouldn't have. Eventually managed to get $200 credit for the next bill, yay (I think).

No I get to do long run tomorrow, when it's hot. Instead of a long ride, when it's hot.
