Had originally conceived doing a gentle 15km, but it was getting close to 7 by the time I started so I figured something like 14km at 5min/k.

Didn't have to work too hard early. Thought it was 4km from Lord John Forest back to Matilda Bay via Moount St, so padded out nicely to get to LJF around the 10km mark and only about a minute behind 5min/k pace.

Cranked up the pace heading back along the river, still feeling comfortable but getting towards the top end of my available leg speed. Passed 14km and realised 4km was probably to the carpark after the brewery where I use to park long ago. Luckily I was still feeling good and kept up the pace with the extra motivation of trying to close in on a cyclist who'd passed me but wasn't really getting away, but I couldn't catch her.

Very happy with the run, felt good the whole way. Glad I had winter gear on when I hit some of the cold patches in Kings Park.

Only problem was stomach pain at work after breakfast. Better ring up for blood test results tomorrow, hopefully it's just a bit of heliobacter.

Lots of slow and steady trying to work out some of the finer detail. Got a bit turned around looking for 11 after doing some bush/track bashing, hit the track to the west, when I thought I'd been heading north.

Felt a bit lucky to get 15 without too much trouble as I wasn't sure I'd come off the main road in the right spent, but was happy too have passed Robin and Jake on the way there since I was sure they would have started way ahead of me.

After 16 I took the the wrong turn off the main road because I'm sure my compass was saying it had turned fully east, so ended up going a slow way to 17.

Darling Downs to Claremont

Chillaxing ride in, not too much effort. Sat behind a couple of others around Mt Henry to after Canning Bridge then went to the front most of the way to the narrows.

Had decided to add in the Dalkeith loop to CCGS, then had a slight detour round some road works, then took the worst possible route back to work via a sandy laneway.

Sufferaxing ride home. Got caught by a few small children riding a trail approaching Berrigan, after a few minutes of riding next to me then behind me, they gave up and went to find someone else to bother.

Started feeling a little bit tired along Rowley Rd, was trying to avoid switching off, but saw some fireworks over towards Armadale so enjoyed the action for a few minutes, after that the legs just weren't up for putting in any effort, they weren't hurting just lacking energy.

Running (Home - sprawl) 1:01:00 [3] 11.0 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Adidas Supernova Glide 3 Green

Planned to do about 15km. Started off OK. GPS battery died after 5 mins so with no watch I had to be a bit conservative to make sure I got back home in plenty of time to pick up the kids. Stomach got painful out near the rec. centre, as far away from home as possible, so walked a little bit till the pain eased off, then took it easy the rest of the way home. Dist. approx from nearmaps.

Gentle run with Richard, tried to keep the pace easy.
