Rogaining race (Mandurah Meanderings 4hr) 3:50:00 [2]

Easy stroll around with Belinda and the kids.

Sophie and Ryan took turns in the Pram. We went round the Mandurah foreshore, the canals. Stopped so the kids could play in the playground with the ship.

Over to the beach then back through some back streets, pigggy backed Sophies for a while since Ryan had fallen asleep in the pram. Back to the foreshore for ice cream, luckily Sophie didn't want all of hers, so Ryan got to eat some when he woke up, although he probably wore more of it since it had mostly melted. Bit more playground time before grabbing a few more controls on the way back.

Pretty sure we beat Wil and his family, so that's the main thing.

Darling Downs to Claremont

Easy min. effort ride.

Sat behind a few people along the way. First one dropped off when I decided I'd better take a turn. second one went past resonably fast along the drag strip so I jumped on with out too much effort, eventually took a token turn before parting ways. Had an amusoing time sitting behind a flat bar commuter with aero bars heading into the wind along Mts Bay Rd, he was actually working quite hard, but I was content to free load in this case and stick to plan.

Hordes of kite surfers at Pelican Point meant for hard work heading south along the freeway, with some effort required to maintain momentum.

BB and I today, turned out to be fine but very windy. Took turns most of the way, except when BB was smashing me and he kept having to slow down for me to catch up.

Met Wil and Ann over at Sticky Beaks and headed over to Wil's secret hill rep loop .

Did 3 reps 1.1km up a gentle sandy track to the
DNA tower and jog back down the grass to the start.

5:32, 5:44, 5:17

Wil had me easy on the first and smashed me on the second as I was still in the struggle mode of the last few weeks. We had an extra couple of minutes rest before the final rep, so I hard from the start, hoping to get at least one good rep in, left Wil behind early and really pushed hard towards the end with the motivation of avoiding Wil running me down in his usual fashion.

Looks like we'll do similar again next week.

Fletch - you feel like joining us? or you going to enjoy some time not watching other people run? might be a good time to do your rehab reps.
