Orienteering race 1:06:08 [3] *** 8.9 km (7:26 / km)

The first control was almost in the opposite direction that we started, but that didn't cause me any trouble. I started off easy, as usual, to get a feel for the course, and I got faster as the race went on. The woods were extremely open and fast, so there was a lot of compass at work, but also large features to guide into controls. After control 15 or 16 I noticed I was getting tired and not thinking as efficiently as before, but I was able to focus enough to finish my race with no significant mistakes. I lost a bit of time on the course, but not much. A couple small things that the Attackpoint splits didn't pick up on. When I finished I was thoroughly tired, so I knew I had at least done well for myself.
