I think it was 7 controls. It was the model event before the first day of the Boulder Dash.

Orienteering race 1:27:20 [3] *** 8.5 km (10:16 / km)

Didn't go as well as I would have liked. The first seven controls went very smoothly, I had a mistake on eight, but then the second half of the course on the old map wasn't so good. Everything should have been a shade of green darker, and I got very confused going to fourteen. Then on the nineteenth control I go completely confused and didn't find several features on the map. The controls which went well went very well, but the ones that didn't were very bad.

I felt pretty good so I ran faster today. I also ran a little farther, but I had to slow down the last twenty minutes because I was four minutes ahead of my normal time. Sweet.

Orienteering race 1:42:40 [3] *** 11.6 km (8:51 / km)

COC Long Distance. Aside from one mistake very close to the end where I got drawn into Sergei Logven (Spelling?), I had an almost flawless run. Perhaps I could have altered my routes on a couple of the long legs, but I think I did pretty well. Extremely satisfied, and much better than yesterday.
