Running 1:30:00 [3]

Ran past St. Mike's... It was new and different, but the woods they have there are really boring.

Running 45:00 [3]

Before ultimate. Pretty nice day.

Ultimate 15:00 [3]

Some people were just being lazy, but we crushed today. We probably had an 8-10 point streak for a bit there.

Running 45:00 [3]

Ran with weight gloves. Longest period of time I've run with them before, and it drained me.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

I ran pretty hard the entire time and kept my head up, so I guess I was feeling pretty good. I took the last two minutes at a slow jog as a reward, though, because I got back early.

Orienteering race 1:13:36 [3] *** 9.0 km (8:11 / km)
16c

Chase start. I was about ten minutes behind first and second, so I didn't have much hope there, but Hans was a minute and a half behind me, so I had a little pressure from the rear. On the third control I did a long around route on a trail to avoid a large section of medium green (which I decided shortly beforehand was too dense to be efficient), but it turned out to be several minutes faster to cut through. That was where I lost most of my time on the course, and probably what allowed Hans to catch me on the fifth control. I managed to stay just in front of him for almost all of the remaining distance, but I couldn't really pull away. That said, I focused much more closely and pushed harder, so I had a very clean and fast race from that point on. I lost about three to three and a half minutes on number three, and my time on the course was only six or seven minutes behind Eric, so I'm fairly pleased.
