Another 11 min control - stupid mistake, turning left on a trail, thinking I had reached the road.... Then a 7 min control to follow. However, overall, it didn't seem as bad as yesterday! We'll see what the results say. Control description said 130m of climb!
24th out of 82. Winning time was 45:24. If I had recognised that a track wasn't a road, I'd have been around 10... :(

Just couldn't get into the map. Messed up the first control, then the 4th, 5th, 7th was iffy, 9th was really bad (had no clue where I was...) I hope this is one of the days I can drop! Ended up 47th out of 91 :( Winner was 30:49!

Much better than yesterday :). Some wobbles but recovered much more quickly. Some route choices not optimal but overall much better. It seemed that people either liked the map or had a really hard time. VERY muddy - my new Icebugs were covered in mud before I got to the start. I had a late start so may have had some benefit from the elephant tracks, and the sun came out so it was actually quite hot at times!
Ended up 9th out of ~88 - the winning time was 42:57

hiking warm up/down 40:00 [1] 5.0 km (8:00 / km)

wore my sister's rubber boots from the parking field and was very glad! A 2 k walk to and from the arena and then 1k up to the start.

Some good legs, some not so good... But my first time orienteering in Scotland - I think I learned a lot! I'll see over the next 5 days :)
Winning time was 52:47. I was 26th with splits varying from 4th to 77 and 78... :(

Head was turned at the start - nearly went in the wrong direction, then found #2 before #1... 2:30... Only a few wobbles after that, but could have been better

morning run through Culloden Woods. No jacket and it was dry!!! Slow going at times when I had to navigate mud and cross on branches :)
